How is this different than Facebook supporter?

So in a strange, stalkerish kind of coincidence (or maybe it wasn’t), Facebook decided to invite us to the supporter program and they did this the very next day after I posted that our Patreon page had launched. Ha! But it’s all good! Some folks don’t use Facebook so we will continue to run both platforms, as many content creators do.

Facebook supporter is $4.99/mo and includes access to a private group page and special livestreams. Patreon subscriptions range from $5-$50/month and include all of that and much more.

I have decided that we will hardly ever live stream on the public Facebook page. Perhaps if there is a major announcement or we are streaming with another person or organization like we did recently with Beautifully Hued but, otherwise the livestreams with just the two of us will be contained to the Facebook supporter group and Patreon. They will NOT be the same livestreams so we will go live there AND here and there could very well be different content but I want to provide that perk to both groups.

Patreon will ALWAYS be more personal. I created this space so we could have a smaller community. Facebook supporters will be a smaller subset of the AMC Princess Ana page but I imagine Patreon will continue to be an even smaller subset than Facebook supporters because people really have to WANT to come over here and support us. I want this space to be a safe place where I can share with you guys more freely and comfortably, where we can really get to know you on a one-on-one level, and where we can create a family.

So Facebook supporters will have a dedicated space to interact with each other over on Facebook and we will post some fun things in there from time to time and go live from time to time but there isn’t going to be a set schedule and while it WILL be above and beyond what is on the main FB page, it may be more intimate at first but I expect at some point it’ll grow and be harder to maintain close connections. I’ve watched it happen with other creators.

So over here on Patreon you will also have a dedicated space to interact with each other but even moreso, to interact with us.

– If you’re on the fan level or above ($5/mo) you’ll get access to posts and news that is either released to Patreon first or only shared on Patreon.

– If you’re on the follower level or above ($10/mo) you’ll get to participate in live stream events with a very low attendance so we will be able to see every question/comment you send and communicate with you more directly. I still need to figure out what platform I’m using for those so give me a couple of weeks to get that going but once we get it up and running I want to try and do those at least once a month but twice a month would be more ideal.

– if you’re on the supporter level ($25/mo) you’re going to get access to all of that plus we want to give back to you by randomly selecting folks from our upper supporter levels to receive gifts, paintings, letters, cards, merch, etc. Additionally, I will be keeping a blog (I still need to figure out what platform I’m going to use for this as well) where I will be writing but I want to go back, way back. I want to start from very early and document not only Ana’s life from the time she was born but some of my life pre-Ana, as well. There you will get the story, the scoop that everyone wants. lol My hope is to gather my thoughts there over time and ultimately use the content to publish a memoir. I’m trying to figure out how to keep it secure and as private as possible while still sharing it with you guys. That’s why this is at a $25/mo level. I don’t want a ton of people on it and I hope I can trust the people who do want access to respect that I’ll be sharing information with you on a level that I would with a friend and just because I may be sharing it with 20 or 50 or 100 friends does not mean it’s appropriate to screenshot or copy/paste my musings and share them with the rest of the world. So, I’m trying to figure out those details. If anyone has any ideas I’m all ears!

– Finally, if you’re on the VIP level you will basically be a part of our life. haha! You’ll have access to even more behind the scenes and early access content than anyone else and I’ll be talking to you about choices I make and things going on in our life so we can get your advice and opinions to help make decisions, as related to our social media and public presence. Perhaps I can even figure out a way to have a blog space where there is similar tiered level access to Patreon and so the more sensitive/private posts could be upper-level access only and everything else would be accessible by both the $25 and $50/levels. I don’t know, just thinking out loud here. I’m also hoping folks on this level will help me make adjustments to Patreon and keep tabs on the Facebook supporter group and get to know us well enough that you feel comfortable enough to answer simple questions about us, direct fans where to go for things, learn how to navigate our content, etc.

One thing you’ll learn about me quickly is that I am very wordy so if you are on one of the upper levels I hope you like to read! Ha! I welcome your feedback and ideas throughout this process and I’m really excited to embark on this journey with you!
